Critiques
To be honest, the coloring is so smooth that when I first looked at this I thought it was digitally colored. It wasn't until I read the artist's description that I realized you had scanned it.
The part I love most about this picture, honestly, is Jo. She has THE CUTEST facial expression in existence. I also adore her pose.
The biggest error I can find in this piece is the hands. Hands are the hardest part of drawing a person for most of the artistic community. They're very tricky, and its nearly impossible to get them right every time. One's hand should be approximately the same size as one's face. In anime and cartoons, however, most artists exaggerate this size to the same size as the head, because hands are very useful for expressing emotions, which is very important. One way I practice hands is by looking up stock photos of hands and trying to draw them.
Other than that this piece is absolutely splendid! Great job!
