lovely tutorial! I really appreciate the detailed explanation with pics for the eyes. I've always wanted to try them, but they seemed so daunting lol. If you could do a ruffle tutorial that would be great. When I make ruffles with felt they just don't look right, and I don't know why.

think you could do a video of some of your tutorials, i understand them but it's easier for me to see it being made as it's being explained (i've always been that kind of learner sry if this was too much to ask) but it's a great tutorial~

First off i'd like to say this is a really nice tutorial for sewing on hair so thank you for sharing! I noticed you said there wasn't a very efficient stitch for sewing on the head but i found one a while back that works fairly well! I used to get pretty frustrated sewing on heads/limbs/etc. from the outside, but the ladder stitch makes it a whole lot easier and you can barely see the stitches on the outside. [link] , that is the link i found the ladder stitch at but there's videos of how to do it too (it took me some practice before i really understood how it worked!). You don't have to use it of course, i just thought it might make sewing easier for you since i know i had so much trouble with stuff like that!

Hi, glad you liked the tutorial :)
This was my first ever tutorial, and since then I have moved onto better looking dolls, so I learnt how to stitch heads on properly :) But thanks for the link anyway :)

I just want to say thank you for showing how to do hair. I wanted to make a doll with yarn hair, and one way I found involves a sewing machine, which I don't have.

I used your tutorials to make a dollie, but in a different way. Thank you so much! The tutorials were extremly helpful.

For this type of doll? Probably just use felt and cut it out the way you like rather than using wool :)

What is the best way to print these tuts? I have saved the file, however when I open it the Windows viewer, I can't get the entire doc to print since it's a jpeg versus a doc or PDF. There are several tuts I want to print but same problem. HELP :) Thanks!!

I've never been asked...
Silly question, but have you tried opening it on paint?

All these tutorials are so very helpful!!

But I found somewhere with a way of making the hair, that works for some characters.

you take strands of the wool, and fold tissue paper around the tips, then you send it, wool and tissue, through the sewing machine. then you rip off the tissue paper. after that you sew all the wool 'chunks' you could say, on by hand. then you cut the wool into the hair style you want your plushie to have...

i haven't tried this out yet...i'm just too scared, and not advanced enough...so i don't know how well it works.

What do you mean by "Too much ':D'"?
I drew how to paint an eye because concerning the felt fabric that I was painting it onto, the way I have stated is a more effective way to paint it on and to also look better once finished :)

Ohhh, is it this tutorial you're using?
I just sent you a note with a different tutorial on hehe sorry!!
For this one, just hold the head on ti the body and sew your fingers off haha, there's not really an easy way to do it, it's really fiddly, but once you start sewing it'll get easier :)
And just make sure it's nice and tight :)

Craft paint... That could work!! Or you could mix some PVA glue into it :)
Just try it out on a scrap of fabric first :)
Hmmm, sometimes acrylics are expensive... You've got to know where to look. I'm English, so suggesting stores to you would be no help I'm afraid...

PVA glue is that glue everyone tends to use at school, it's white but dries clear :)
